In this lesson, children will move on to using the colon symbol to describe ratio. Children will learn that the ratio notation relates to the order of the parts. E.g. "For every 2 blue sweets, there are 3 green sweets" would be 2:3. They will look at ratios with 2 or 3 parts. There is a teaching presentation and three levels of worksheet (working towards, expected and greater depth) with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem solving questions.
