In this lesson, children revisit skills from Year 1 to count in 2s, 5s and 10s. These skills are essential for later learning in the year. They count both forwards and backwards in 2s and 5s, starting on a multiple of the counted number. For 10s, children count forwards and backwards in 10s from any given number. This lesson includes a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions, as well as 3 sets of extra fluency questions.
