Translate on a grid
In this lesson, children will translate shapes and points on a coordinate grid following specific directions using language such as: left/right and up/down. They will apply their understanding of coordinates when translating by starting with the left/right translation followed by up/down. There is a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions.
