In this lesson, children explore parts and wholes and are introduced to the language formally. They explore making wholes out of different compositions of parts, using manipulatives. This lesson includes a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions, as well as 3 sets of extra fluency questions.
