This editable differentiated lesson pack focuses on helping children discover that the fruits and vegetables we eat come from different parts of plants. Through hands‑on exploration, pupils examine real foods and learn to identify whether they are eating a root, stem, leaf, flower, fruit or seed. They compare examples such as carrots, lettuce, broccoli and tomatoes, using simple clues to classify each one. This lesson strengthens children’s understanding of plant structure and builds confidence in using scientific language to describe everyday foods.
