This editable differentiated lesson pack focuses on helping children identify and name the basic parts of a plant. Through close observation of real examples, pupils learn to recognise roots, stems, leaves and flowers, and begin to understand the job each part does. Children compare different plants, spot similarities and differences, and use simple scientific language to describe what they see. This builds their confidence in identifying plant structures and lays the foundation for later learning about how plants grow and survive.
The file includes the following resources: - editable teaching presentation - editable lesson plan - editable activity/scaffold sheet - editable additional activity ideas - editable focus assessment worksheet
