Job Title: Curriculum for Excellence Project Manager (Contractor Role)
Location: Flexible / Work from Home
Salary: £18 per hour
Hours: Full-time or Part-time (Flexible Hours)
Contract Type: Contractor
Application Deadline: 30th November

Job Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Curriculum for Excellence (CfE) Project Manager to join our team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 3-5 years of teaching experience in Scotland, particularly in the Curriculum for Excellence, to step into a project management role. While prior project management experience is not required, the role involves managing the development of CfE-aligned educational resources, collaborating with content creators, illustrators, and the wider team, and ensuring high-quality output that supports teachers and students. You will receive guidance and support from the Managing Director to help you succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management Support: Work alongside the team and Managing Director to coordinate the development of educational materials aligned with the Curriculum for Excellence. You will manage timelines, track progress, and ensure all projects stay on schedule.
  • Collaboration with Content Creators & Illustrators: Work closely with content creators, illustrators, and other educational professionals to develop high-quality resources. Provide feedback and ensure the content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with CfE standards.
  • Curriculum Alignment: Ensure that all lesson plans, resources, and materials are thoroughly aligned with the principles and outcomes of the Curriculum for Excellence.
  • Content Development: Edit and refine lesson plans, worksheets, and other learning materials to ensure they are engaging, effective, and meet CfE standards.
  • Communication & Coordination: Regularly communicate with team members to track progress and address any issues. Be a key point of contact between the content team, the Managing Director, and other stakeholders.
  • Learning and Growth: Receive guidance from the Managing Director to develop your project management skills, while gaining experience in overseeing the production of educational resources.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of primary school teaching experience in Scotland, with a strong understanding of the Curriculum for Excellence.
  • Skills:
    • Strong experience in creating lesson plans and educational resources aligned with CfE.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to collaborate with others, including content creators, illustrators, and educators.
    • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
    • Ability to receive and implement feedback, and willingness to learn new skills related to project management.
  • Self-Management: Ability to work independently and manage your own time effectively as a contractor, including handling tax responsibilities.
  • Location: Flexible work location, with the option to work from home. No travel is required for this role.

How to Apply:

Please submit your application by 30th November. As part of your application, include a sequence of learning (a sample lesson plan or series of lessons) that demonstrates how you integrate the Curriculum for Excellence into your teaching. This will showcase your ability to link your work to CfE principles.

Note: This is a contractor role, and applicants must be able to manage their own tax obligations.

We look forward to receiving your application and hearing how your experience and skills can contribute to the development of high-quality, CfE-aligned educational resources!
