In this lesson, children apply the strategies they have learned in this unit to solve addition and subtraction problems with more than one step. They focus on the steps to solve multi-step problems and determining when to add and when to subtract. This lesson includes a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions, as well as 3 sets of extra fluency questions.
