In this lesson, children will build on lesson 1 to now use their understanding of volume to order and compare different solids made up of cubes.  There is a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions.

Mathematics Year 5: Estimate volume [for example, using 1 cm³ blocks to build cuboids (including cubes)] and capacity [for example, using water]
