This resource develops on previous knowledge of approximating and estimating to work out the area of various triangle by counting squares. The link between triangles and rectangles is explained. There is a teaching presentation and three levels of worksheets (working towards, expected and greater depth) with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem solving questions.
