In this lesson, children build on their learning from previous years and multiply whole numbers by 10, 100 and 1,000. They explore the relationship between multiplying by 10 twice and multiplying by 100, as well as multiplying by 10 three times and multiplying by 1,000. This lesson includes a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions, as well as 3 sets of extra fluency questions.
