
This lesson focuses on the core art skill of appreciating and reflecting. Children will look at a range of illustrations and discuss their purpose and style using art vocabulary. They will then evaluate their own watercolour beetle illustration created in Lesson 4, reflecting on the techniques they used. Through discussion and self-assessment, children will celebrate what went well in their artwork and think about what they would like to improve another time.
