In this objective, children will learn how to add the suffix -ian to base words.  Over four 20-minute lessons, they will:
·               Learn that the suffix -ian tells us a person has the skills, beliefs or is linked to the base word.
·               Learn that the morpheme -ic acts as part of some noun base words
·               Learn that words ending in ic and ics can adopt the suffix -ian to make a new word
·               Explore the etymology of some words words
·               Learn to add the suffix -ian to more familiar base words
·               Learn a range of rules to add the suffix -ian to a base word
