In this objective, children will learn how to add the base -cent- to other morphemes to make new words.  Over three 20-minute lessons, they will:
·               Learn that the base -cent- means one hundred
·               Learn that some words follow the spelling pattern cent but do not carry the same meaning
·               Explore the etymology of some words containing cent
·               Recap the learning of soft and hard c spellings
·               Learn that some words with the base -cent need a connecting vowel
·               Build word sums
·               Reinforce learning with practical games
