In this objective, children will learn how to add the prefix dis- to base words to form new words. Over three 20-minute lessons, they will:
·               Learn that the prefix dis- means not, or the opposite of (sometimes it can mean away)
·               Explore a range of morphemes that can be added to build words containing dis-
·               Build word sums
·               Explore the etymology of bound base words with the prefix dis-
·               Use matrices to build a range of words
