In this lesson, children explore missing angles in equilateral, right-angled and isosceles triangles. They explore that one angle in a right-angled triangle is always 90° and use this to find other missing angles. They explore that in equilateral triangles, all angles are equal, therefore each angle is 180° ÷ 3 = 60°. They explore that in an isosceles triangles, there are two equal angles. This lesson includes a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions, as well as 3 sets of extra fluency questions.
