In this lesson, children revise kilograms and kilometres and their relationships to grams and metres, respectively. They discuss what units of measure are and how they are used in different ways in everyday life. They begin to use bar models and double number lines to show conversions. This lesson includes a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions, as well as 3 sets of extra fluency questions.
