In this lesson, students measure and compare durations of time in seconds. They will practise counting in seconds and converting between seconds and minutes. There is a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions.

compare durations of events [for example, to calculate the time taken by particular events or tasks]
