In this lesson, children will learn to recognise right angles. Examples are shown in different orientations showing that a right angle does not have to be made up of a horizontal and vertical line. They will also learn that that a right angle is a quarter turn, 2 right angles make a half-turn, 3 right angles make three-quarters of a turn and 4 right angles make a complete turn. There is a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions.
