In this lesson, children are introduced to the number line for the first time. They have used number tracks previously and so it is important they are labelling the numbers on the divisions, rather than in between them. They will use the number line to consolidate skills learnt in this block. This lesson includes a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions, as well as 3 sets of extra fluency questions.
