
In this lesson, children learn to fluently count objects up to 10. Children should: - Assign one number to each object being counted - Say numbers in the correct order - Understand that the final number said is the total - Learn to count abstract things, such as jumps or claps - Explore counting the same group of objects in different orders to see that the total remains the same This lesson includes a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions, as well as 3 sets of extra fluency questions.
