
In this lesson, children build on their learning from Year 4, recapping Roman numerals to 100. They explore Roman numerals to 1,000 and learn the numerals D (500) and M (1,000). Children apply this knowledge to recognise years using Roman numerals and convert between Roman numerals and numerals. This lesson includes a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions, as well as 3 sets of extra fluency questions.
