This board game will explore clause structures and how to improve/modify single clause structures.
Players 2-6.
One counter for the group.
Pupils roll the die and move the corresponding number of spaces.
When they land on a clause, the pupils may choose a normal or challenge card.
Using the instruction on the card, each pupil in the group improves the sentence within a couple of minutes.
Once complete, the pupils must read their new sentence to the group. Following that, a winner is chosen depending on the effectiveness of the sentence.
The winner keeps the card.
Pupils continue playing until they reach the surgery. The pupil with the most cards at this point wins.
