In this lesson, children will use rulers to accurately measure and then classify triangles as either ‘isosceles’, ‘scalene’ or ‘equilateral’. They will also compare the similarities and differences in the different classifications and identify, sort and draw them. There is a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions.

Compare and classify geometric shapes, including quadrilaterals and triangles, based on their properties and sizes.
