Description

In this lesson, children build on their previous learning of column method to apply this method to numbers with more than four digits. They will look at place value charts and compare this to the column method to help understand exchanging. This lesson includes a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions, as well as 3 sets of extra fluency questions.
