Geography: Year 2
Pupils should be taught to understand geographical similarities and differences through studying the human and physical geography of their local area and of a small area in a contrasting non-European country (Tulum, Mexico).
Pupils should be taught to use world maps, atlases and globes to learn about the world's seven continents.
Pupils will be taught to identify the hot areas of the world and to use geographical vocabulary to refer to key physical and human features.
