In this lesson, children will draw a pie chart, using a protractor to measure the angles. They will build on prior learning of angles around a point and use this to recognise that 360 degrees represents 100% of the pie chart. There is a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions.

Mathematics Year 6:  interpret and construct pie charts and line graphs and use these to solve problems.
