In this lesson, children explore the interior angles in polygons. They learn how to partition shapes into triangles, from a single vertex with no overlapping, to find the sum of angles in different polygons. They use their angle knowledge to solve problems. There is a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions.

Draw 2-D shapes using given dimensions and angles
Find unknown angles in any triangles, quadrilaterals, and regular polygons
Recognise angles where they meet at a point, are on a straight line, or are vertically opposite, and find missing angles
