In this lesson, children will subtract numbers with the same number of decimal places once again using place value counters and a place value grid to support them with exchanging. The problems often use currency to apply decimal subtraction to a real situation and bar models are used to assist with subtractions. There is a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions.
