In this lesson, children will find complements which add to 1 and will make links with number bonds to 10, 100 and 1000 to support them when finding these complements, including those with up to three decimal places. Children may use a hundred square, bar model or part-whole model to support them. There is a teaching presentation accompanied by differentiated activities with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem-solving questions.
