Description
This lesson will teach children how to subtract two mixed numbers. Some calculations will break the whole. There is a teaching presentation and three levels of worksheets (working towards, expected and greater depth) with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem solving questions.

National Curriculum objectives:

add and subtract fractions with the same denominator, and denominators that are multiples of the same number
recognise mixed numbers and improper fractions and convert from one form to the other and write mathematical statements > 1 as a mixed number
